Eligibility
CTY’s program at Madrid brings together approximately 100 bright, motivated middle and high school students with an interest in Spain. You are eligible for CTY-Madrid courses for 7th grade and above if you: - will have completed 7th, 8th, 9th, or 10th grade by Summer 2008;
| - do not turn 17 before September 1, 2008
| and
| - have required minimum scores on the SAT, combination of SAT and Spatial Test Battery (STB), or ACT. Minimum PSAT scores are also accepted. Please see the eligibility charts below.

For those 10th-12th grade students interested in attending the Cervantes Institute, you are eligible if you: - will have completed 10th, 11th, or 12th grade by Summer 2008;

CTY’s Talent Search offers the SAT, STB, and ACT. The required scores for those tests are shown here. Once you achieve the qualifying score(s) for a subject area, you remain eligible until you reach the age limit for the program. You need not retest. An application form is included on these pages. Courses will be assigned on a rolling basis beginning November 29th. For course assignment purposes, applications received on or before November 29th will all be considered to have arrived on the same date. If on November 29th there are more applications than spaces available, CTY will use a selection process that gives preference to students in the 11th and 12th grades. Notification
Students are notified of the status of their applications within one week of receipt of a complete application. Applications received prior to November 29th will all be considered to have arrived on the same date. Accepted students receive a Course Assignment Packet with all relevant details about the program and site, including travel information, opening and closing day schedules, a list of things to bring, health and medical information, rules and policies, etc. Late Applications Late applications (postmarked after March 31, 2008) are accepted and considered as space in the program permits.
