CTY Summer Programs in Mexico

2008 Catalog

7th-10th Graders: Puebla, Mexico
9th-12th Graders: Monterrey, Mexico


Admissions Information

Eligibility

You are eligible for the CTY Puebla program if you:

  • have completed 7th grade and are 12 years old by June 30, 2008
  • do not turn 17 before September 1, 2008

AND

  • have required minimum scores on the SAT, combination of the SAT and Spatial Test Battery (STB), or ACT. Minimum PSAT scores are also accepted. Please see the eligibility charts below.

You are eligible for the CTY Monterrey program if you:

  • will have completed 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade by Summer 2008;

and

  • have required minimum scores on the SAT, combination of SAT and Spatial Test Battery (STB), or ACT. Minimum PSAT scores are also accepted. Please see the eligibility charts below.

Application Process
Apply online
, or download an applicationCourses will be assigned on a rolling basis beginning November 29. For course assignment purposes, applications received on or before November 29 will all be considered to have arrived on the same date. If on November 29 there are more applications than spaces available, CTY will use a selection process that gives preference to students in the 11th and 12th grades.

Notification
Students are notified of the status of their applications within one week of receipt of a complete application. Applications received prior to November 29 will all be considered to have arrived on the same date. Accepted students receive a Course Assignment Packet with all relevant details about the program and site, including travel information, opening and closing day schedules, a list of things to bring, health and medical information, rules and policies, etc.

Late Applications
Late applications (postmarked after March 31, 2008) are accepted and considered as space in the program permits.
