Credit Issues

Whether or not you get credit or placement for your summer programs course work depends on your school.

CTY itself does not offer credit for its courses, but your school may decide to do so based upon its own criteria. The process of requesting credit and/or placement through your school requires advance planning, time and patience. For most of our courses, it is not important to pursue credit and/or placement because the courses are quite different from typical school offerings. In other cases, working with schools is critical. We have developed a Parent's Guide, which helps families determine whether to purse credit and/or placement and offers advice on the process of doing so. We also offer program-specific advice in each of our summer programs catalogs under "How to Choose Courses."

How to Choose Courses for:

CTY Grades 7 and Above
CAA Grades 7 and Above

CTY Young Students Grades 2-6
