CTY: Summer Program for 9th-12th Graders in Nanjing, China

Admissions Information

Eligibility
CTY’s program at Nanjing brings together approximately 150 bright, motivated high school students with an interest in China.

You are eligible for this program if you:

  • will have completed 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade by Summer 2009;

and

  • have required minimum scores on the SAT, combination of SAT and Spatial Test Battery (STB), or ACT. Please see the eligibility charts below.

Application Process

, or download an applicationCourses will be assigned on a rolling basis beginning January 8. For course assignment purposes, applications received on or before Jaunary 7 will all be considered to have arrived on the same date. If on January 8th there are more applications than spaces available, CTY will use a selection process that gives preference to students in the 11th and 12th grades.

Notification
Students are notified of the status of their applications within one week of receipt of a complete application. Applications received prior to January 8 will all be considered to have arrived on the same date. Accepted students receive a Course Assignment Packet with all relevant details about the program and site, including travel information, opening and closing day schedules, a list of things to bring, health and medical information, rules and policies, etc. 

Late Applications
Late applications (postmarked after March 7, 2009) are accepted and considered as space in the program permits.
