Welcome to the CTY Young Students Catalog. Please read the important notes below to help you best use this catalog to your advantage
How to Use this Catalog Within our CTY Young Students Program, we have two summer opportunities - the Residential Program and the Day Program. Some class offerings and details about student life differ in the two programs. We have designated two symbols to help guide you through this catalog. The blue star indicates courses or issues pertaining to the residential program, while the red star indicates courses or issues within the day program. Most sections of the catalog apply to both programs.
Residential Program At our residential program sites, students live on campus with CTY staff members. Weekends are reserved for social and recreational activities. The residential program is for students who have completed 5th or 6th grade.
Day Program At our day program sites, offered in the Baltimore-Washington and Los Angeles-San Diego metropolitan areas, students attend the program from Monday to Friday only, and return home each afternoon. The day program is open to students who have completed at least the 2nd grade and have not yet entered 7th grade.
