Tuition & Fees, Room & Board:  $3,500

*CTY Courses Offered (grades 7 - 10):

- Andalus: The Culture and History of
  Moorish Spain

- Politics and Art: The Spanish Civil War

- Literature and the Arts: Surrealism

- Spanish Religious History

- Mathematical Modeling

- History of Disease

- Engineering Design: Architecture in Spain

- Travel Narratives: Writers Abroad

Students can take classes in either English or Spanish. Additional language instruction will also be offered daily.


 *Spanish as a Second Language
Program for Students Completing Grades 10 - 12:

In collaboration with CTY Spain, a certified center of the Instituto Cervantes, CTY is offering a three week residential Spanish as a second language program. The Cervantes Institute is dedicated to the diffusion of the Spanish language and CTY is proud to present this opportunity to its students. If interested in the program, list Spanish as a Second Language as a course choice on the application. Students participating in the Spanish as a Second Language course will have a slightly modified schedule from other students at CTY-Madrid. (Updated January 16, 2008)


Overview

CTY is now offering a summer program at the Universidad Europea de Madrid (European University of Madrid), a beautiful, private university located on the outskirts of Madrid. Its outstanding facilities include excellent classrooms and labs, extensive recreational facilities, and individual dormitory rooms with in-suite facilities. In courses designed to take advantage of Madrid’s rich cultural heritage and contemporary environment, U.S. and Spanish students will be challenged academically with topics ranging from Spanish Architecture and mathematical modeling to the culture, history and literature of Spain.
