Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Young Scholars Program
  • Are you entering the eighth grade in this coming fall?
  • Can you show evidence of superior academic ability?
  • Does your family's financial situation demonstrate need?
  • Do you value learning and show strong intellectual ability and academic achievement?
  • Do you demonstrate motivation, creativity, potential for leadership, and a desire to serve  the public?

If you answered 'yes' to the questions above, you may qualify for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Young Scholars Program.


Program Information and Application Packet
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Young Scholars Program selects exceptional students with financial need and provides them with individualized educational opportunities and advising throughout high school. The Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University assists the Foundation with recruiting, selecting, and serving Young Scholars.

Students need to be completing the 7th grade this spring to be eligible to apply.

Application Deadline

Applications must be received by May 5, 2008.

It is wise to apply early. Applications or portions of applications received after the deadline will be ineligible for consideration.
