How to apply for . . .

Talent Search
If your student is eligible for the Federal Free or Reduced-Price lunch program, follow these two steps for your Talent Search fee to be reduced and your testing fee waived:

  • Request a financial aid form from your school’s guidance counselor and have them sign it; you can also request a form from CTY at 410-735-6278.
  • Financial aid applicants must use the paper Talent Search application instead of applying online. Be sure to include the signed financial aid form in the same envelope with the paper Talent Search application, or by emailing ctyinfo@jhu.edu, or by calling 410-735-6278.

All other CTY programs
Complete the Financial Aid application for your particular program and submit it to the address listed on your program’s form with:

  • a copy of your most recent Federal Income Tax Return (with all accompanying schedules & W2 forms)
  • your program’s paper application

CTY may request additional documentation after we receive your application.

Things to keep in mind

  1. Early applications are strongly encouraged to ensure full consideration for limited available funds.

  2. Students with an account balance from the previous year will not be eligible for financial aid until the account is paid in full.

  3. Financial aid applicants are expected to pay the non-refundable program application fee for Summer Programs and CTYOnline; for both programs, aid is awarded on a one-course per-year basis.

  4. Financial aid applicants should meet the tuition deposit requirements of the various programs. If extreme economic hardships exist that make a tuition deposit difficult, contact the CTY Financial Aid Office at (410) 735-6024.
