Limited financial aid is available to students whose families demonstrate financial need. Those requesting assistance must submit the CTYOnline Financial Aid Application along with appropriate documentation. - Awards are given for one session-based course, or for one three-month period in the case of individually-paced courses. Awards are limited to one award per student per fiscal year, which starts July 1. Additional financial aid in following years is based on previous satisfactory student performance, submission of a new financial aid application, and available funds; however, there is no guarantee of additional assistance.
- No financial aid will be awarded if requesting more than one course.
- Awards for distance education do not affect awards for summer programs.
- Financial aid is only awarded to families not owing tuition or fees for a previous program.
- Financial aid is not available to international students. Financial aid applications cannot be processed without a U.S. tax return.
- Given limited financial aid resources, families with adjusted gross incomes greater than $50,000 are discouraged from applying although all applications will be reviewed.
- CTY's Financial Aid Office will notify parents of financial aid decisions within two weeks of the receipt of application, assuming all documentation is in order
- If a student receives a partial financial aid award, any remaining balance will be invoiced by the Student Accounts Office and will be due in full within 25 days.
All financial aid applicants must submit the following items together in one package: (The tuition deposit must be sent with the program application, but it is refundable if the applicant chooses not to participate in the program at the time the financial aid award is announced.) If these are not received by CTY at least 30 days before the actual or requested start date of the course, processing of the application will be delayed. In Part VII of the Program Application, enter the appropriate deposit amount required. Also, check the boxes indicating you are applying for financial aid on the bottom of page 29 and on page 31, Part VII.
