Leslie Dupont

Leslie Dupont lives in Tucson, Arizona, with three cats and has been teaching writing and humanities for over 13 years. She dropped out of high school, then made her way back to college in 1981, where she earned a BA and an MA in Humanities from Arizona State University and graduated from the University of Arizona with her Ph.D. in English in May, 1999. Leslie has just published a textbook on the paragraph, titled Writing Cornerstones: Paragraphs in Context, and her second textbook, Writing Keystones: Essays and Research. This work stems from her enjoyment of teaching, working with people of all ages and constantly watching them grow as writers. She has been working with the Johns Hopkins Tutorials since 1997 and continues to teach in Tucson at the University of Arizona.
