Joachim Rebholz began his teaching career as a teaching assistant during graduate school at the the University of California at Berkeley. There, he also taught motivated and talented high school students as part of a Math Circle, which he found tremendously rewarding. After receiving his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Berkeley, Joachim worked in the financial industry applying sophisticated mathematical concepts such as stochastic calculus and partial differential equations to the pricing and trading of financial derivate securities in New York and London for more than a decade. Transitioning between theory and practice is another area that Joachim loves to instruct. While in London, he taught the application of mathematical theory to financial real world problems at Oxford University's Mathematical Finance Program. Upon returning to the United States, Joachim became an adjunct professor at Villanova University and a CTY Distance Education instructor. Joachim has received teaching and research awards as well as a Fulbright scholarship for graduate study in the United States. |
