The Secret Castle

NCTM Standards for Geometry, Grades 6 - 8

  • Analyze characteristics and properties of two- and three-dimensional geometric shapes and develop mathematical arguments about geometric relationships
  • Specify locations and describe spatial relationships using coordinate geometry and other representational systems
  • Apply transformations and use symmetry to analyze mathematical situations
  • Use visualization, spatial reasoning, and geometric modeling to solve problems
Climb the spiral staircase to the main level of the castle to the Hall of Mathematicians, solving problems as you go and gathering what you will later need to build your means of escape.

Climb the spiral staircase to the main level of the castle to the Hall of Mathematicians, solving problems as you go and gathering what you will later need to build your means of escape.

Descarte's Observatory on the castle's rooftop contains a powerful telescope you can use to explore the night sky.

If you master Hypatia's challenges and complete the Final Quest, you build a biplane to escape the island!
