Detailed Course Information

Lesson 1 – 中国Zhongguo (China)
Get a brief overview of basic knowledge of China and the basic structure of the Chinese language.

Lesson 2 – 你好!Ni Hao! (Hello!)
Students will be able to greet their teachers correctly, in addition to being familiar with the structure and the functions of Chinese names.

Lesson 3 – 一 二 三Yi Er San (1 2 3)
Students will be able to count from one to 100 in Chinese.

Lesson 4 - 他是谁?Ta Shi Shei? (Who is he?)
Students will be able to identify a third party member, state his or her age, and welcome him or her in Chinese.

Lesson 5 – 这是谁的?Zhe Shi Shei De? (Whose is this?)
Students will be able to identify objects used at school, engage in class room conversations, and do Chinese calligraphy and writing.

Lesson 6 – 我的家My Family
Students will be able to use Chinese to introduce their family or to talk about their family. Learn more about Chinese character composition and rules of phonetic spelling.
