Grades 2 - 6 Qualifying verbal score Young students with little or no knowledge of Chinese are introduced to everyday spoken Chinese and the simplified forms of Chinese characters. The characters are used in conjunction with pinyin to reinforce listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The course takes a fun, interactive approach with course materials appropriate to elementary school children. Students interact with the instructors and other students using Internet-based software. The course materials include a textbook, workbook, and CD-ROM. The tentative schedule for conversation practice sessions is:
Monday and Wednesday, from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm (EST); or Monday and Wednesday, from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm (PST); or Tuesday and Thursday, from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm (EST). This schedule may be adjusted in the future. 12 weeks
