Ringel Fund Sponsors

A gift by Mel Ringel in 2004 created an endowment at Johns Hopkins University, with a goal of sustaining the Joshua Ringel Memorial Reading in perpetuity. Over time, several organizations have helped in this endeavor.

  • The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) identifies, nurtures, and develops academic talent in pre-collegiate students.

  • WYPR 88.1 is Baltimore's public radio station and a media sponsor for the Joshua Ringel Memorial Reading.

  • Gilman School is an independent day school for boys with a tradition of academic excellence, student diversity and community outreach.

  • Teachers & Writers Collaborative, NY, sends writers into schools, and publishes magazines and books about teaching writing.

We welcome donations from individuals and organizations like these to continue the work of the Ringel series.
